Alexis Lynn Arguello, born on August 23, 2006, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, departed from this world far too soon on February 6, 2025, in Fort Collins. She was a vibrant soul whose impact was felt deeply by all who knew her.
Graduating from Arvada West High School, Alexis demonstrated her passion for the arts through her involvement in catering and choir during her educational journey. A bright student, she excelled in AP English, showing a keen intellect paired with a creative spirit. Her love for learning mirrored her thirst for life, which was evident in her hobbies and interests. She cherished drawing and reading, always seen with a book in hand, and spent many joyful days at the Denver Aquarium—her favorite place on earth. A simple summer day would often find her savoring homemade tea and ramen, her love for Hot Cheetos always part of her cherished snack repertoire.
Though she held a shy and introverted demeanor, those close to Alexis knew her as a funny and goofy friend, bursting with charisma amidst her small stature. Her caring heart knew no bounds; she was never rude and always offered affection and love to everyone around her. With a strong will and a quirky personality, Alexis left a lasting impression wherever she went.
Alexis's rich memories are painted with moments of joy shared with family and friends. Taco Tuesdays with her mother, Derice Spain, were filled with laughter and bonding. She loved weekend video games with her Father Angelo Arguello and motorcycle rides with her stepdad, Tim. Sunday dinners were spent with her grandparents, Chris and Gary and created a tapestry of warmth and togetherness that she held dear. Special moments were also spent enjoying the company of her boyfriend, Marcus Trujillo, as they frequented movie theaters together. The bond she shared with her brothers, A.J., Joe’ziah, and Jonathon, forged a nurturing family dynamic that only strengthened her gentle spirit. She is survived by her boyfriend, Marcus, parents Derice and Angelo, stepfather Timothy, grandparents, Margaret and Pete, Chris and Gary, and Jim and Tina as well as countless friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her mother's best friend Natalie, who was there at Alexis' birth, and Natalie's daughter, Peyton who was like a sister to Alexis.
Alexis was a lover of all animals, demonstrating her kindheartedness and empathy towards all living creatures. Although she may not have showcased her wonderful singing and dancing abilities publicly, those fortunate enough to witness her in private cherished the beauty and light she emanated in those moments.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held on February 15, 2025, at Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church, located at 7530 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The service will begin at 2:30 PM, providing family and friends an opportunity to reflect on the life of a truly remarkable young woman who touched the hearts of so many.
Though she may have left us too soon, Alexis Lynn Arguello will forever be remembered for her loving disposition, her vibrant personality, and the joy she brought to everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, a gentle reminder of the love she shared.
