Veteran funeral services are a noble tradition that pays respect to those who have served in the United States military. Services for honoring veterans combine military protocols and personal preferences. This creates a special and respectful celebration of their life.

Key Features of Veterans Funeral Services

A veterans funeral service often concludes with the playing of ‘Taps,’ a military bugle call that signifies the final salute. Another key feature is the ceremonial folding and presenting of the U.S flag to the veteran’s next of kin.

For veterans’ funeral services, members of the honor guard (if available) can be requested as pallbearers. If the honor guard is present they will perform a rifle volley to honor the fallen veteran. We must receive all honor guard requests with advance notice to ensure availability.

Our funerals for veterans conclude with the flag being draped over the casket and a final gravesite salute.
